Where are you based out of?
I mainly reside near the Portland, Oregon area - Vancouver, Washington to be exact - and travel often back to Los Angeles, CA. So if you are having your wedding in or around the Los Angeles area I do not charge flight or board expenses! I also do destination wedding photography!
What is your photography background?
I graduated from the California State University of Long Beach in art, from there I went on to assist fashion, celebrity and wedding photographers throughout Los Angeles, CA. As well as creating my own work which has been published in magazines, blogs and various outlets.
What's your style?
I have a soft spot for conceptual style photography but also "shoot" for simple and clean, stylized portraits. Along with, non-obtrusively, capturing those candid moments on your wedding day.
Besides weddings what other photo work do you do?
I love to shoot boudoir, as well as fashion and commercial style work (nunez-photography.com). I provide these services in Portland, Oregon, Vancouver, Washington & Los Angeles.
Do you travel?
Yes please - destination weddings are a great way to capture something new! Plus, I just cannot turn down a fun adventure. As a wedding photographer, I am willing to travel where I am needed to capture the images your special day.
How does pricing work for weddding photography, boudoir photography & engagement photography?
My Wedding Photography Collections start at $1150 and my Engagement Photographer Packages at $475. Each package can vary based on the amount of photographer coverage needed, pre-wedding photo sessions or add on's and wedding day details. Boudoir photography sessions start at $375. These prices are for services in the Portland, Oregon, Vancouver, Washington & Los Angeles area. Please contact me for more inforamtion about destination wedding prices.
What is your most popular Wedding Photography Collection?
Wedding Photography Collection 2 is the most common, but I find Wedding Photography Collection 3 is my favorite. Having more time can help create a relaxed shooting environment allowing for more detailed moments, useful in longer wedding ceremonies or sometimes needed for larger weddings.
How necessary is engagements photos?
They are not necessary but I do highly recommended it. It is great opportunity for us to get to know each other more, to see how you interact as a couple, and give you an idea of how I, as a wedding photographer, work. As well as getting a little more confortable in front of the camera before your wedding day.
How much time for pre-ceremony portraits is needed?
I normally prefer that wedding parties prepare to be photo ready around 2 hours before the beginning of the ceremony. This way we can make sure we have time to capture natural and non rushed photos, as well giving time to freshen up before the ceremony. If you do not want want to do pre-ceremony couple wedding photography, two hours before your reception would be preferred.
Do I need a second wedding photographer?
Packages do not include a second wedding photographer but, depending on size and details of the day it may be necessary to add one. Normally in larger weddings a 2nd wedding photographer may be required to get all desired shots and others just like to have a second view of there day. The cost of a 2nd wedding photographer can vary depending on package.
What do you shoot with?
I was originally trained with film but all of my wedding work and portraits are done digitally. Normally, I photograph weddings and portraits with a Cannon 5D and a back up Cannon, with an array of lens's to choose from. I also have tripods and lighting if necessary, although I do prefer to take advantage of the natural sunlight when possible.
Can we give you a list of shots we must have?
Yes you can, but I do find it easier to also have a member of your party be in control of a list of family member shot list. I also like to have a tentative schedule to ensure enough photographer time is given for proper portraits.
What is your turn around time?
Generally, you will receive your edited digital prints in about 6-8 weeks for wedding photography and 2-6 weeks for portrait or boudoir photography.
How will we get our photos? Do your offer prints?
Photographs will be mailed to you in a cute package containing a USB drive filled with your edited photographs. Each photograph will have a large version for print set at 5x7 with a 300 dpi, and a smaller web version for easy sharing. I do offer prints myself but you are not obligated to order through me. You will have digital files to do so yourself, although I cannot guarantee the actual print. I do not give RAW or un-edited versions of prints. I know many people do like to have these but I see the final product as the representation of my work and I prefer to only give out my best work as to keep my artistic integrity. I will edit all the best photographs and only outtakes will be left out.
Print release and copyright?
I do include a release which allows you to print, post, tweet and anything else of a personal manner. I do keep the copyrights to all photographs.
